    What you need to know

    What happens after I’ve filled out the contact form?

    We’ll consult our partner energy brokers and get back to you within two working days with our best energy quotes for your business. If you’re happy with our quotes, we’ll be on hand to walk you through the rest of the process, taking care of any bureaucracy.

    Why must I sign a Letter of Authority?

    To be able to use our extensive contacts and get in touch with energy suppliers on your behalf, we need a Letter of Authority – also known as an LOA – from you. We only use the LOA to contact energy suppliers and other brokers, and it is limited to a certain period of time.

    What is included in your services?

    We’ll find you the best business energy prices, handle your change of supplier and are personally always on hand should you need any help. What’s more, if required, we’ll provide energy management systems and audit your annual energy invoices. All of this for only a small service fee of between 3 – 5% that you pay as part of your energy bills.

    How can I check that your prices are really so competitive?

    Easy – compare our unit rates and standing charges with those of your current supplier. Our commercial energy quotes are based on the meter readings you’ve given us and always include VAT charges (that not all suppliers apply in their quotes). Our quotes, however, don’t always include CCL (Climate Change Levy) charges, which every business customer pays according to fixed rates determined by the government

    What is an energy management system?

    An energy management system will make your company’s energy flows and processes more transparent by recording and evaluating diverse energy data.

    How fast can I switch energy suppliers or tariffs?

    You should get in touch with us about six weeks before your current supplier contract is due to expire. This will leave us enough time to really scour the energy market thoroughly for you. If you like our quote and decide to change suppliers, the switch should take a maximum of three weeks. If you then change your mind, you have 14 days to cancel.

    Which business electricity tariffs are there?

    There are several types of electricity tariff. Here are the most popular:
    A fixed-rate tariff gives you certainty in what you pay, regardless of any changes on the electricity market, and is good for long-term business budgeting.
    Flexible tariffs are good for businesses with particularly large consumption volumes. The electricity is purchased in bulk when your contract begins and can often result in cheaper unit rates at almost wholesale prices.
    Renewable tariffs apply for green energy which, in the meantime, often costs the same as electricity generated by non-renewable methods.

    What is the Energy Bill Discount Scheme?

    The government has introduced the Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS) to support businesses during periods of high energy prices (it replaces the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS)). As of April 2023 until March 2024, the EBDS offers businesses a discount on their electricity usage. This discount is applied automatically to your bill when wholesale electricity prices are particularly high. The EBDS is subject to a maximum discount that depends on whether your business operates within an electricity intensive industry or not. Electricity intensive businesses can expect a maximum discount of 8.9p/kWh with a threshold of 18.5p/kWh. All other businesses can expect a maximum discount of 1.961p/kWh with a wholesale electricity rate threshold of 30.2p/kWh. The discount is applied automatically, so you don’t need to apply for it.

    What do I need to do when switching?

    Absolutely nothing! Once you’ve given us your basic information, such as latest meter reading, MPAN/MPRN, postcode, contact details and an LOA, you can just sit back and relax. We’ll get back to you quickly with competitive energy quotes.
